HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has today lost its case against Portsmouth FC.

HMRC had been seeking an order blocking a proposed Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA) put together to help the club out of administration.

HMRC has announced that it will not appeal against the High Court ruling.

Portsmouth FC enters into administration

At 10:20am today Portsmouth Football Club was placed into administration following the filing of a notice of appointment at the High Court by the chargeholder, Portpin Limited.

Andrew Andronikou, of UHY Hacker Young, has been appointed joint administrator of Portsmouth Football Club together with Peter Kubik and Michael Kiely.

High Court Winding-Up Order Latest

Today's hearing adjourned until Mon. 1st March, with financial statement to be provided to the High Court by 16:00GMT Weds. 17th February.
