Premiership '07/08 : Newcastle Utd (a) 4-1

Yes this really is the League Table on Saturday night 3rd Nov. '07

Three goals in as many minutes and Newcastle Utd were buried within the first quarter-of-an-hour. Noe Pamarot had opened the scoring with a fabulous 25-yard strike.

Two minutes later and John Utaka makes it 3-0; Newcastle and their fans are left virtually shell-shocked as their unbeaten home record crumbles.

Goal-scorer Niko Kranjčar in action today. The home side was outplayed for the entire match. It was Pompey's fourth straight league away win, their first victory at Newcastle since 1949 and their biggest win there since 1930. It was also the Magpies' heaviest Premiership home defeat for three years.
